Important news after the deadline of submissions

The process of submitting papers and posters for CERME13 has ended. A total of about 830 contributions were received. This means that besides TWG (co)leaders and others who have a specific function at the congress, it will be hard to accept registrations from people who are not submitting authors of an accepted contribution, just as it has been at earlier editions of CERME.

Key actions and deadlines for the coming period:

1st March: TWG leaders assign reviewers to paper and poster proposals

22nd March: Reviewers submit their reviews

5th April: Authors will be informed about the review results, status of their submission and revisions requested

12th April: Registration for the conference opens for presenting authors of accepted papers and posters, TWG leaders and co-leaders, plenary speakers, plenary panelists, IPC and ERME board members

Welcome!

Dear Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to invite you to attend the 13th Congress of the European Society for Research in Mathematics Education (CERME13). It will take place in Budapest (Hungary), from the 10th to 14th of July, 2023. CERME13 will be preceded by a YERME day for young researchers.

The reason for the unusual timing is that summer is epidemiologically a less risky period than winter. We are very hopeful that the CERME community can finally meet face to face again after 2019 and regain the live contact we have been missing for the past years.

The conference will be organised by the Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics together with the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), the largest university and the largest teacher-training institution in Hungary. The two buildings of the Faculty of Science, which will serve as the venue of the conference, are located on the banks of the Danube near the city centre and can comfortably accommodate 900 participants for plenary sessions and all working groups.

Our logo represents one of Budapest's landmarks, the Chain Bridge. In addition to the three C's that characterise CERME (communication, cooperation, collaboration), this bridge represents for us a fourth C, which stands for connection. I promise that the LOC will do its very best to provide conference participants an enjoyable and useful stay in Budapest.

See you in Budapest in July 2023!
